An answer to prayer: New Staff Member Dani Sanmartin
Dani Sanmartin completed the consolidation of his support team in January. In February, we hosted a team leader training time using the Together (+Juntos) study that we recently printed for married couples to host bible studies at their church or with neighbors.
While I was in the U.S. for Michael's funeral, Dani (front row) had begun his new role as our first FamilyLife Spain staff member. He is pictured here with 4 other new staff and trainers at the New Staff Orientation that Donna (pictured right) and I had been planning for months.
Donna's husband, Israel and Dani and I have been meeting several times a month to begin to work through Ágape's New Staff Training curriculum, which provides a solid founddation for new believers and encouraging reminders for older believers. Sometimes we meet in each others' homes and sometimes we meet online.
Our commitment to prioritize this 36 topics over the next 1.5-2 years allows us to spend time together, share our lives and the things we are learning and recognized together the essentials of our faith and of Agape as an organization.
It is especially important as new staff begin to disciple and train other believers as it provides clear tracks for teaching and competencies that each believer needs to develop to grow to maturity.
Dani has also participated with me in gathering other married couples to pray for the family as an institution and to pray specifically for families in our local churches.
Dani and his wife, Raquel, are pictured here with their first home group, using the Together (+Juntos) material.
In August, Dani was the keynote speaker for a week-long conference for married couples at L'Arcada, a Christian camp in Catalunya.
Dani and Raquel have also designed and hosted a monthy webinar on marriage, sharing principles to facilitate understanding, communication and teamwork in marriage. The first webinar is tomorrow!
Please pray for Dani as he seeks the Lord's will regarding his ministry calling.
Thank God for Dani and Raquel, for their desire to follow and serve Him.
Please pray that the Lord would raise up other married couples who desire to minister to married couples, teach them God's principles for marriage and point them to Jesus.
